“I Will Trust In You” is one of the songs that has been in our catalog for quite some time. It’s very interesting that when difficulties occur in our personal lives the melody of this song comes to the forefront of the mind.
Written and recorded in a Middle Eastern style, this song takes you mentally to a place in the Holy Land where Jesus might have walked. Brad’s finger-picking style is prominent throughout and the hand drums have a haunting rhythm. If you listen closely, you will hear a flute playing at certain places. Brad brings his vocal talent to the song and sings the main melody in verse two.
We thought Brad should have sung about the storms of life and waves crashing. This past summer 2024, he was part of a crew that brought a sailboat across the Atlantic Ocean. Throughout their journey, they encountered storms and high waves. The success of the trip was a testimony of God’s faithfulness.
We had a lot of fun working with our producer, Corey Pavlosky, of Pipe Dream Studios. He brought an interesting and fresh perspective to the song with drums, bass, and acoustic guitar.
The scripture reference for “I Will Trust In You” is Lamentations 3:22-23, “The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
