Brad Perry completed a distinguished 32-year career with NASA, serving in various roles, including evaluating proposal concepts for robotic missions to explore the planets and study the universe. He has conducted professional astronomical observations and published more than twenty scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals. Brad has taught Introductory Astronomy for the Osher Institute for Lifelong Learning at the College of William & Mary for 18 years.

He is the recipient of NASA’s Exceptional Service Medal and Outstanding Leadership Medal. Brad is an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, a Full Member of the American Astronomical Society, and a member of the American Scientific Affiliation.

Licensed to ministry in 2019 along with his wife, Joanie, Brad was ordained as a pastor in 2021. Since 2024, he has served at Historic White Marsh Church, an independent, non-denominational church in Lancaster, Virginia, and has been the pastor since 2025. He earned an M. A. in Theological Studies from Liberty University and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry in Theology and Apologetics from Liberty.

Originally trained as a classical guitarist and complementing Joanie, Brad employs a wide variety of musical styles using steel-string acoustic, nylon-string, and electric guitars. His thoughtful arrangements and technical precision complement a deep commitment to communicating the truth of the Gospel.

Joanie Perry is a classically trained vocalist, educator, Christian recording artist, and speaker whose life has been marked by a consistent calling to glorify Christ through music and teaching.

Her lifelong love of worship and sacred music began in her early years of study and performance. Growing up immersed in choir, band, and orchestral settings, she developed both technical excellence and a deep appreciation for music’s spiritual impact.

She earned a Bachelor of Music Education from Old Dominion University, with a minor in vocal performance. Joanie has served in church music ministry, solo performance, and educational settings, nurturing both musical skill and spiritual sensitivity in students and congregations alike. A former music educator and school librarian, she taught in the Virginia public school system for over 30 years. 

Alongside her husband, Brad, Joanie co-leads Alabaster Grace Ministries, writing, arranging, and presenting original Christian music that integrates worship, biblical teaching, and thoughtful engagement with faith and creation. Joan’s voice carries both classical richness and heartfelt authenticity as the lead singer for Alabaster Grace.

Brad and Joanie’s ministry reflects the core mission of Alabaster Grace Ministries: helping people believe in God, understand their identity in Christ, and discover their calling to serve.
