You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in your word. (Psalm 119:114 NKJV)
The Bible is filled with examples of people who felt fear and anxiety, and they were able to find hope and comfort by turning to the Lord. The Psalms especially highlight David’s troubles and how the Lord helped him.
Although many of the Psalms are about David, on a deeper level they relate to every person of faith. The Psalms address the whole realm of human emotion and can bring hope and comfort to our souls as believers. Take time to study the Psalms and you will receive many great blessings of comfort and healing.
“The more deeply we grow into the psalms and the more often we pray them as our own, the more simple and rich will our prayer become.” - Dietrich Bonhoeffer
