Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.
Are you not of more value than they?
(Matthew 6:26 ESV)
A father is charged by God to provide for his family. Even in the animal kingdom, the male bird has to bring a worm or insect to the female bird to show he will provide for his family before she will accept him as her mate.
As children of God, we can be free of worry because God will provide for us. We don't need to live like orphans, concerned about our own well-being. We have a heavenly Father who loves us more than we can imagine.
You don't have to stay up at night worrying. God is up and you can go to bed. You don't have to be imprisoned by thoughts of worry. Trust God to meet your needs; it's as simple as that!
"Do we approach God from a beggar's perspective or as His cherished child? If we have any difficulty seeing Him as our loving Father, we need to ask Him to help us develop a healthy Father/child relationship."
