That very day two of them were going to a village named Emmaus, about seven miles from Jerusalem, and they were talking with each other about all these things that had happened. While they were talking and discussing together, Jesus himself drew near and went with them. But their eyes were kept from recognizing him. - Luke 24:13-16 ESV
Have you ever wondered, what would it be like to physically walk and talk with Jesus? What would you say? What would you do?
Yet this is exactly what Cleopas and the other disciple on the road to Emmaus had the opportunity to do, although they didn't recognize Him until later.
Just like the disciples in the Emmaus story, we are consumed with interpreting the world around us through our own perspective. But what if we could shift form our perspective to His perspective?
As believers, Jesus through the Holy Spirit is with us continually, even when we don't recognize his presence. So we have the capability to walk and talk with Jesus continually, and to ask HIm for His perspective. What is He speaking to you?
"Smart men walked on the moon, daring men walked on the ocean floor, but wise men walk with God." - Leonard Ravenhill
Have a blessed day!
