In our study of the Lord's Prayer, so far we have come to see God as our Heavenly Father, who is Holy and deserves our worship. We also recognize that we are part of the Kingdom of God. Today, we look at choosing God's will over our own.
When we pray to have God's will in our life, we are submitting to obey Him because He is holy. The other part of the prayer is for His will to be done here on earth as it is in heaven. We want His glory to be revealed. By choosing His will over our own, we are demonstrating that He is first in our hearts. As Christ followers, we want Him to have His way in our lives.

Scriptures:
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. (Romans 12:2)
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (I Thessalonians 5:18)
Prayer:
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
