"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." (John 16:33 NKJV)
How do you overcome adversity? By the blood of the Lamb. When we are placed in tough situations that we cannot get out of, Jesus Christ is still our hope.
We have various forms of adversity everyday - some small and some overwhelming. In all things we are to come to the Lord and press into His strength, which is never ending.
"We will overcome" is a statement of certainty. It is not a matter of "if" or "maybe," but a definite “yes.” We overcome “by the blood of the Lamb who was slain.” He is the One who gives us the victory. Click here to listen to our song "We Will Overcome."
If you are being blessed by these devotions, please feel free to share them with others. During this challenging period, it is our desire to reach and offer hope to as many people as possible.
"Adversity is not simply a tool. It is God's most effective tool for the advancement of our spiritual lives. The circumstances and events that we see as setbacks are oftentimes the very things that launch us into periods of intense spiritual growth. Once we begin to understand this, and accept it as a spiritual fact of life, adversity becomes easier to bear." - Charles Stanley
