Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. (Psalm 1:1-3 ESV)
To have a fruitful life, you need to spend quality time alone with God, studying His Word and praying. Your prayer life with God is a two-way dialogue, like the Psalms of David and Christ’s prayers to the Father. As you draw closer to God, you allow Him to be more present with you. Then and only then are you prepared to bear your best fruitful life.
Remember that the root, from the seed, comes before the branches. In nature, seeds never go directly to branches without roots. God will work within you to produce deeper roots as you spend more time with Him.
“Do not strive in your own strength; cast yourself at the feet of the Lord Jesus, and wait upon Him in the sure confidence that He is with you, and works in you. Strive in prayer; let faith fill your heart - so will you be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might." - Andrew Murray
