For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. (Hebrews 4:15 NKJV)
Jesus felt fear and despair. He was repeatedly tested by the devil. At the point of death on the cross He cried out, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” (Matthew 27:46, Mark 15:34).
Jesus overcame His many trials on earth, and He is with us continually to help us overcome our trials. As Hebrews 2:18 states, “For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted” (NKJV).
"Our prayers are heard, not because we are in earnest, not because we suffer, but because Jesus suffered." - Oswald Chambers
