And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men.
(Colossians 3:23 NKJV)
Have you ever seen someone do a task with mediocrity? From washing the car to doing yard work, it is obvious to the eye if the job performed has been done in a half-hearted way.
God has called us to a higher standard. He has commanded us to do everything with all of our heart put into it - with gusto or enthusiasm. The Lord doesn't want us sulking around showing disinterest in our tasks. He has a plan for our everyday life.
Whether it is as simple as washing dishes or as complex as building a rocket, we should remember we are doing His will and fulfilling His plan for our lives.
"Enthusiasm is a kind of faith that has been set afire."
- George Matthew Adams
