He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When others are troubled, we will be able to give them
the same comfort God has given us.
(2 Corinthians 1:4 NLT)
Not only is God the God of peace, He is also the God of comfort. He fully understands and identifies with our suffering, and He can supply the “custom ordered” comfort that we need as we face the struggles of this life.
As God comforts us, He prepares us to comfort others that may be facing similar issues in their lives. Our faith is made stronger by the struggles that we encounter and overcome with God’s help. Having experienced our own struggles, we have the first-hand experience to help others when they face similar struggles.
"God does not comfort us to make us comfortable only,
but to make us comforters."
