“The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.”
(Numbers 6:24 ESV)
The word "bless" in Hebrew is "barak." It means, "to bless, kneel, salute, or greet". In studies of the Aaronic blessing, one author related how God might kneel in a way a parent does in order to get on an eye-to-eye level with their child. It is such an intimate picture of an adoring and loving father bestowing love.
God desires to bless us because He loves us as a good father loves a child, and He guards us because we are like lambs in a flock. Even though we are not always spared from the evils of this world, God has promised us that nothing can separate us from His love that is in Christ Jesus.
Receive His blessing to you today.
"An infinite God can give all of Himself to each of His children. He does not distribute Himself that each may have a part, but to each one He gives all of Himself as fully as if there were no others."
- A. W. Tozer
Blessings to you.
