You have promised me more than enough
You are faithful and true
We continue sharing one of our songs, Faithful and True, from our first EP self-titled Alabaster Grace.
Today we had the blessed pleasure of sharing music at a Christian coffeehouse. The whole evening was so very special because we were with people who were likeminded in the sense that we just love the Lord.
We knew it had to be a special time because the events leading up to it were frankly, frustrating. Our trek to our venue was riddled with obstacles. We had learned some disturbing news about something that would affect our lives for an extended period of time. That's when we were given a great opportunity to press into the Lord.
Have you ever been given a direction by God and had complete peace, only to have your peace hijacked and questioned? Maybe the outcome you were expecting did not turn out the way God intended it to be. Well, this is a perfect time to raise the white flag to God and thank Him for being faithful and true. His plans for us are good and we can trust Him to work things out for our good.
Even now at this writing, we are facing the news of an event that seems overwhelming. So now is our chance to lift our eyes up to the One who WILL help us. Let us keep our eyes on Him, and not our problems.
Scriptures:
For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in all he does. (Psalm 33:4)
Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. (Revelation 19:11-13)
Prayer:
Father, thank you for being faithful and true. Help us to know deep down in our hearts that you always know what is best for us. Amen.
