But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk not be faint.
(Isaiah 40:31 NIV)

Eagles can die if they expend too much energy flapping their wings during flight. They must learn to soar without flapping their wings by waiting for and using wind thermals to keep them aloft.
In Isaiah 40:31, God tells us that all things will be fully accomplished in this life by the power of the Holy Spirit operating through us, not by our strength. In this verse, we are the eagle, the eagle's wings represent our faith in God, and the wind thermals are the Holy Spirit at work in our lives.
"We can be tired, weary and emotionally distraught, but after spending time alone with God, we find that He injects into our bodies energy, power and strength." - Charles Stanley
