Trust in the Lord, and do good;
dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness.
(Psalm 37:3 ESV)
The antidote to fear is trusting the Lord. The more you trust the Lord, the less fear and anxiety you have. Think of the famous hymn, "Trust and Obey." The lyrics state, “Trust and obey, for there’s no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.”
The more we trust the Lord, the more we will be tested in our faith walk. These are opportunities to grow. A muscle with no exercise weakens, but with exercise, it grows stronger. So when facing a huge trial, give it to God and let Him help you through the Holy Spirit, who is alive in all of us as believers.
We do not need to do it alone, as we have the Holy Spirit to help us in all situations and circumstances. God created and is running the universe, and He will see us through anything and everything we face in this life!
"I have learned that faith means trusting in advance what will only make sense in reverse." - Philip Yancey
