“The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.” (Numbers 6:24 ESV)

Today's Scripture is known as the Aaronic Blessing, as Moses's brother Aaron spoke these words to bless the nation of Israel. In the Aaronic Blessing, the word "bless" in Hebrew is "barak," and it means, “to bless, kneel, salute, or greet.”
In writing on the Aaronic Blessing, one author related how God might kneel in a way a parent does to get on an eye-to-eye level with their child. This intimate image of an adoring and loving parent and their child serves as a vivid reminder of our heavenly Father's love for each of us.
God loves us as a good father loves his child, and He guards us like a shepherd guards his flock. Even though we are not always spared from the evils of this world, God has promised us that nothing can separate us from His love that is in Christ Jesus. Receive His blessing to you today.
"An infinite God can give all of Himself to each of His children. He does not distribute Himself that each may have a part, but to each one He gives all of Himself as fully as if there were no others." - A. W. Tozer
