Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? (1 Corinthians 6:19 NIV)
As believers, we have the Holy Spirit living within us to help us in everything we do. The Holy Spirit helps us to interpret and apply the Scriptures in our daily lives, guides us on what to do and not do, and protects us from harm. The Holy Spirit even completes our prayers when we don’t have the thoughts and words ourselves.
We can call on the presence of the Holy Spirit to help us keep calm and carry on in difficult times that we are facing. This is not a time to look at everything in despair, but a time to stay focused on growing and sharing our faith.
Staying connected with each other is very important. And through these connections, we can encourage one another with God’s promises and assurances. God is in charge and He will see us through our difficult times.
"Let us thank God heartily as often as we pray that we have His Spirit in us to teach us to pray. Thanksgiving will draw our hearts out to God and keep us engaged with Him; it will take our attention from ourselves and give the Spirit room in our hearts."
- Andrew Murray
