All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17 NIV)
God has given us the road map for life through His Word. The Bible is our complete guide on how to live a Godly life. The Scriptures were life to Moses and food to Jesus. They cannot and must not be anything less to us. They are the very breath of God.
Imagine taking a trip to a specified destination without the directions on how to get there. You might have an idea of how to get there, but until you take the time to map out the route, you are simply spinning your wheels, so to speak. The frustration and waste of time, money, and gas could have been avoided.
God’s word is the answer. Through it we come to know who He is and how to live a life that is pleasing to Him.
If we truly believe that the Scriptures are God-breathed, then we should take the time to study and meditate on His word. It is there that we become equipped to do what His word instructs us to do. It is there that we learn how to live righteously and have the live that He intends for us.
God is the great Teacher and we are His students. Let us endeavor to be students worthy of our teacher.
"The more you read the Bible; and the more you meditate on it, the more you will be astonished with it." - Charles Spurgeon
