So I went down to the potter’s house, and there he was working at his wheel. And the vessel he was making of clay was spoiled in the potter’s hand, and he reworked it into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to do.
(Jeremiah 18: 3-4 ESV)
In implementing your own plans, have you ever made a mess of things? We have, even more than once!
God has given each of us the capability to plan, and we believe He expects us to do this. But that is not to say that He doesn’t redirect us; He redirects us all the time. In redirecting us, He shows us the path that He wants us to take when it differs from our own. And in doing so, He helps us to realize and accomplish things that we could never do on our own. As the potter, God molds us, the clay, into beautiful vessels accomplishing His will.
So let us anticipate and listen for God’s voice in everything we do, and be ready to implement His plans to realize the prosperity and blessing He wants each of us to have.
“Change my heart, O God!
Make it ever true.
Change my heart, O God!
May I be like you.
You are the potter,
I am the clay.
Mold me and make me,
This is what I pray.”

Blessings to you!
