You are the people of God; he loved you and chose you for his own. So then, you must clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Be tolerant with one another and forgive one another whenever any of you has a complaint against someone else. You must forgive one another just as the Lord has forgiven you. And to all these qualities add love, which binds all things together in perfect unity.
(Colossians 3:12-14 GNT)
Today our pastor spoke on Colossians 3:12-17. It was a message that we all needed to hear, and here is our take away: God created us all to be special. He doesn't love any one of us more than He loves another. When we look at our human brothers, we are to see each of them as a special part of God's creation. God loves us more than anything; He created us and we are to view others in the same fashion.
Paul is very specific in Colossians, giving instructions on how we are to treat each other. He says to "clothe" ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience, forgiveness and the most important, love. By wearing these "clothes" on a continual basis, we can better appreciate what God has extended to us. In doing this, we recognize our own faults and are in awe of His love for us, which then makes it possible for us to extend the same to our fellow man.

Blessings to you!
