“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 (NIV)
There is something very special about walking side-by-side and holding hands. Even though it seems a small gesture, being beside each other brings comfort and peace.
Throughout scripture, we read that God desires to have a relationship with us. His promises of never leaving us are scattered throughout the Bible. He makes it clear that He is always with us and by our side.
Why does He say that? Because we were created to have relationships and not to be alone. The ultimate connection is with our Lord and Savior. He is gracious enough to give us human companionships because He knows we need to have relationships with others. May you know and sense the presence of the Lord at your side today.
"As you walk through the valley of the unknown, you will find the footprints of Jesus both in front of you and beside you." - Charles Stanley
