"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:34-35 NKJV)
Jesus gave the command for us to love one another. The example He gave was the way He was treating his disciples. He expected them to follow that example and model His love to others.
So how did Jesus love them? He spent time with them. He forgave them. He ministered to them. He encouraged them. He sacrificed His life for them. And so much more.
As Christians, our lives should reflect that same kind of love for others.
"Those in the circle of Christ had no doubt of his love; those in our circles should have no doubt about ours." - Max Lucado
