For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6 NKJV)
Merry Christmas!
Even though our Lord and Savior was probably not born on this day in history, we still take the time to honor His birth on December 25. All over the world, people are recognizing the birth of Christ today.
Celebrating the birth of Christ foreshadows what will happen in the future when every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. A number of Christmas hymns describe this awesome event.
To celebrate the day that our Lord came down from heaven, please take a moment to enjoy George Frederic Handel’s interpretation of today’s verse at https://youtu.be/_f7jhk-IjDo.
“You can never truly enjoy Christmas until you can look up into the Father’s face and tell him you have received his Christmas gift.”
~John R. Rice
