Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7 NLT)
In this season of thanksgiving, we take time to reflect and be grateful for all that the Lord has given us.
Today, the focus of our thankfulness is God’s presence and peace. Both of these gifts from Him cannot be replicated, or come from anyone else. There is nothing like sitting in the presence of the Lord and letting all the cares and worries of this life fade out of view, and to receive His peace that passes all understanding.
In your quiet time and all throughout the day, give thanks to God for His presence and peace.
“If there was ever a secret for unleashing God’s powerful peace in a situation, it’s developing a heart of true thanksgiving.” –Lysa Terkeurst
