The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?”
(Psalm 27:1 NKJV)
There are many references to God strengthening His people throughout the Bible. “The LORD is my strength and my song” (Exodus 15:2). Deuteronomy 33:25 says, “As your days, so shall your strength be.” The apostle Paul writes in Ephesians 6:10 prompting us to “be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might”. And one of our favorites, Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
How does strength work in the Bible? It’s a simple formula: The Word goes in, the praise goes up, the faith goes out, and God strengthens His people!
Only he who can say, "The Lord is the strength of my life"
can say, "Of whom shall I be afraid?"
