You're all I need
We are continuing share the scratch recording of our song, You Are My Everything for the daily devotion.
Today we commemorated the attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001. This nation was put into a tailspin, and many realized the necessity of leaning on the Lord.
As the days and years progressed, trust in self again became the norm, and the need as a nation to rely on God diminished.
Too many times we put our hope and trust in ourselves instead of the Lord. Human nature likes to be in control. It is in the hard times that we tend to realize the control we have is actually a facade.
God is always waiting for us to come to our senses, and to come to Him. When we cry out to Him, He is there with arms wide open to receive us.
May we realize that our trust needs to always be in the Lord and not in ourselves.
Scriptures:
John 15:5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. The one who abides in me while I abide in him produces much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing.”
Philippians 4:19-20 “And my God will fully supply your every need according to his glorious riches in the Messiah Jesus. Glory belongs to our God and Father forever and ever! Amen.”
Prayer:
Lord, we choose to put our hope and trust in You alone. Forgive us for trying to take the control that belongs to You. You are all we need. Amen.
