Today we focus on TIMING.
God's timing is perfect. Our timing, not so much. Did you ever as a child ask your parents while you were on a trip, "Are we there yet?" The concept of time for a child is immediate. The idea of patience is nonexistent, especially when looking forward to something.
Sometimes we are like this with the Lord. When He has put a dream or desire into our hearts, we are anxious to see it come to pass quickly. But what benefit is it really? It's like baking a cake. You are ready to eat it before it has even gone into the oven. Waiting 30 minutes for it to be done is excruciating, especially when you can smell the tasty aroma. However, in the end, it is worth the wait because the end product is a delicious dessert instead of a pan of runny and uncooked batter.
God has promised to direct our path every moment of every day. He knows what we need and when we need it. Our task is to be patient and let Him do His work in us.
Here are a few scriptures that focus on the concept of TIMING:
Lamentations 3:25-26 - The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord
Ecclesiastes 3:11 - He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
Acts 1:7 - He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 - There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens
Blessings to you!
